Despite already signing Alexis Mac Alister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo, most Liverpool fans agree that another midfielder is needed and that man may well be Cheick Doucoure.
As reported by Pete O’Rourke for Football Insider, it seems that a price has been set for the midfielder: ‘Crystal Palace are set to ask for bids of £70million before entertaining parting with the Mali international’.
Considering that the 23-year-old beat the likes of Eberechi Eze, Michael Olise and Wilfried Zaha to their club’s player of the year award last season, it’s safe to say that he’s quite a talent.
The signing of our new Japanese international won’t have eaten too much into the budget we had to spend on Moises Caicedo and if Crystal Palace are ready to accept bids in the region of £70 million, then we should have that money available.
Although it’s a lot of change in one summer, Jurgen Klopp would be happy to see four fresh faces of such talent in his squad and that could make for an entertaining season at Anfield.
We’ve also seen the likes of Ryan Gravenberch linked with a Merseyside move this summer and so it’ll be interesting to see how we weigh up the potential options and decide who to sign.
It’s encouraging though that we seem to remain so involved in the market and there may well be one more big signing left in this window.

Liverpool should sign Doucoure at a reasonable amount. We really need him.

Doucoure is in the same mould as Caicedo. I rate him.hoghly, probably better than the over rated Caecedo. I think LFC should just go for him, it’s a no brainer!

Don,t hold your breath. If we were going to get doucoure klopp would have contacted Crystal Palace by now, because it is urgent. He won,t pay that I read talks are with Bayern for gravenberch. They want thirty mil. We offered twenty! If you read everything he goes for cheap and nothing else. Up too now anyway. He is interested in a twenty nine year old from the midlands. I don,t know why we let Fabinho go if that’s the case, it’s ridiculous.

I think it’s time to let Klopp go.he is not adding anything to the development of the squad anymore.His defense is too vulnerable and on top of that he is too loyal to his players.we need a coach with fresh ideas and one that one that would not take nonsense from the players and especially the owners FSG.time for change.
Barela would be a good choise although he is rated at 70m. Doucourec at 70m is highly overrated, transfernarkt has him rated at 35m. In which case gravenberch at 30m is probably the best choise as his rating is at 35m. As for the caisedo bid, was a loonacy to even vontemplate psying 100m fir him never mind 100.
As for leaving Klop go, lets say yes, and replace him with whoom? Most good trainers/managers are taken or may even not fit well at Anfield. Within the financial limitation he has done great.
