Virgil van Dijk captained his first Merseyside derby since being given the responsibility full-time this summer and he made sure to mark the occasion pre-match at Anfield.
It’s not something that we’ve seen every game this season but it certainly seems to be introduced as and when the players need it, something which has been introduced with our new skipper.

If it means we win every match 2-0, especially against Everton, then we’ll all be hoping to see this become the norm.
It’s just yet another sign of the togetherness within Jurgen Klopp’s squad and let’s hope it helps lead to success at the end of this campaign.
