Liverpool’s talismanic No.11, Mo Salah, could now be set to play his final game in the famous red shirt.
This piece of information comes courtesy of Riyadiyatv (as relayed online by the Liverpool Echo), with it claimed that the Egyptian will feature against Newcastle United before jetting off to the Middle East to complete a medical ahead of a proposed move to Al-Ittihad.
Of course, this is despite repeated assertions to the contrary, with Jurgen Klopp the latest to insist that the club’s fifth all-time top scorer wouldn’t be the latest big name to be snapped up by the Saudi Pro League.

Likewise, before him, Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, ridiculed such suggestions with a far from cryptic post on X.

How coincidental that such a story would appear to be coming to a head right before our upcoming meeting with the Saudi-owned Magpies – how coincidental!
Forget the pinch of salt when reading through these rumours, Reds and just scroll past.
Anyone close to the matter has made it expressly clear that Salah will continue to be a Liverpool player for at least the 2023/24 campaign.
What happens beyond that point, admittedly, remains a mystery, but there’s no question that we’ll continue to see our Egyptian King flying down the wing for quite a while longer.

Would be great business for the Reds to cash in on Salah now. Money is no object to the Arabs so set the price at a new world record- they’ll pay it – and he’ll be the poster boy of their league given his huge following amongst his co-religionists.
Despite how good he has been for us he’s now too predictable and too selfish in his performances and wrong side of 30. Time to cash in and use the funds to reinvest in the squad. Both Elliott and Doak can/will step up to fill that right wing slot – and we’ve enough firepower to make up for his goals. Might even score a few more team goals without Mo’s selfishness.
£200m and I’d take the money I reckon.
£200m is a per year x 3 year , total £600m
So Saudi value Salah at £600 million , they can pay the same they are willing to pay salah in wages to LFC £600m
Or they can wait 3 years when Salah can come for free at 36/37
he will never go for free even if he 38
Not interested in what he will receive- only what the club gets. If Rice is worth £110m then Mo has got to be worth TO THEM 3 or 4 times as much.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the Saudis, for Mo and for the Reds.
No player is bigger than the club and life will go on. Doak will take his shirt and emerge as the next Michael Owen.
Why did the club chose to extend his contract and allowed the others to depart that’s enough for a wise man
Spot on.
It makes sense though from your analysis….
I would also love seeing Elliot playing that Salah position and replaced around the 60 minute mark by the unrelentless Ben Doak
Spot on,totally agree
Bang on, son. Bang on
Agree 100% cash in on him now. He is in decline and his heart is not with Liverpool. Make the Arabs pay top dollar.
Learn to appreciate and separate football with religion he is supported word
wide refrain from religious discrimination
Are you that deluded that you can’t see what Mo brings to the team in not only goal. but assists and also leadership? He has 5 years left at the top, easy! He doesn’t drink and is a complete professional. We are lucky to have him and hope we continue to do so. Your comments are as full of dribbly shit as your name
Doak has the potential,to replace mo if he can fulfill it
I’m going to miss him, but totally agree with the move… He’s worth more money now. Who knows what’s going to happen at the end of the season.
Co-religionist??? Seriously
Yes. He’s a devout Muslim from that part of the world. He’s seen as ‘one of their own’ and undeniably that is why he’s held in such esteem there. That is a key factor in them wanting to have him play his football back ‘home’. Perfectly understandable. Fortunately we can cash in on that – and should do so.
£200+m and he can go – only if LFC can spend some of that money on a top right-sided attacker who could potentially be as good. Anything not at that level and he must stay.
Elliot is feisty but too small to hold the ball up or make tackles to win the ball in the final third.
Doak maybe better but needs some time on the fringes to prove he is first choice and successor to Mo Salah.
LFC need Mo Salah to help get the club back in the Champions League thiis season. That’s not just worth a bit of extramoney and a shot at the CL next summer. CL football makes the club look more attractive to new players next summer (especially with the money of the Saudi Pro League). It could also affect whether Klopp wants to stay next season or if FSG want to replace him. LFC can’t afford to finish outside the top 4 again this season.
I thought Liverpool and the majority of the fanbase were against doing business with the Saudis. Can’t really knock the likes of Newcastle anymore when your own club is doing regular business with these people.
Happy with us using and exploiting the Saudis – but not when they are shafting us.
Bet laces are a daily struggle for you Frank
£600million…or even a third of that…
You’re having a laugh. He’s on a downward spiral now so trade him.
Saudi Team Al-Ittihad Value Salah at £600m as part of a 3-year deal.
Liverpool agreed with the Saudi teams’ valuation and awaits the same money they are going to easily pay Salah £600m.
Both Parties say this will get the deal done quickly and smoothly.
Al-Ittihad are to pay a world record £600m to Liverpool for Salah’s services.
If he doesn’t want to play for us GO.
Minimum 200 million
I think we should cash in on Salah now. Though we don’t have adequate cover in dat dept, talking abt Elliot and Doak, inthink we can move in for Mason Greenwood as immediate replacement for Salah. He has premiership experience and I am sure more than a point to prove
Mason Greewood BEHAVE mate , give your head a wobble . He won’t kick a ball in England ever again .
Klopp has enough attacking talent to take Salah’s place , until they get someone else .
If Salah does go and it happens soon , then Klopp could have enough time to go for Chiesa or whoever else .
( YNWA97 ❤️ )
Time for another ‘Coutinho’ restructuring plan? :D
The Saudis came in late for Salah, they should have come immediately after the end of last season, so that Liverpool can have time to look for replacement. For this season Liverpool needs Salah. He can go to the Saudis by next season.
Constant change is here to stay ! Its been a wonderful time but to be honest I was more upset to see Bobby go. No team wants a player that wants away. Do the business and move forward.
Loyalty no longer exists .
Oh ANTHONY GORDON
Oh Darwin Nunez
He’s an ugly little rat faced creature isn’t he. Nasty too. Loved seeing him kissing the badge after scoring and then his miserable face at the end of the game. Great viewing.
Very true, let him go now
Let him leave and use the money to invest in the squad or team
