Trent Alexander-Arnold is the man of the hour after his match-winning performance against Fulham and it’s clear that Cody Gakpo thinks he knows why the Scouser played so well.

Following the dramatic goal and during the celebrations, the Dutchman can be seen first covering his mouth with his hand before looking down at the vice captain’s boots and then nodding in approval.

Since the our No.66 has signed his new deal with Adidas and started wearing the Predator boots, it’s certainly had a positive impact on his performances.

It’s safe to say a lot of this is down to the natural talent of the pass master but perhaps his new boots have given him the edge in recent games.

Alexis Mac Allister played a crucial role in our victory over Fulham, even if he wasn’t on the pitch when the match-winning moment occurred after he had been replaced.

Speaking with LFCTV, the Argentine said: “I think Endo changed the game, definitely,” said Mac Allister. “Because of the goal, and because of how he helped the team to have the right balance as well.

“Maybe when Jürgen took me off, the team was very offensive, and we needed a player like Endo.

It’s great to see how genuinely happy our No.10 is for the team to claim all three points, after a really dramatic game at Anfield.

Wataru Endo certainly made a massive impact on the game and it may have helped him now really compete with the former Brighton player, for our No.6 role.

Liverpool were at the wrong end of the biggest injustice in the VAR era as a goal that should have been given was chalked off, one reporter believes Manchester City have now been as harshly treated too.

Taking to his X account, Sam Lee – the Man City correspondent for The Athletic – wrote: ‘The refereeing at the end yesterday was a genuine, massive mistake. Like the one in Tottenham v Liverpool.

‘But City’s biggest concern is that if they were able to replay the Spurs game, it would probably end 3-3 again’.

Not only is this a hugely disproportionate reaction, to mention a possible replay is simply ludicrous – even if it is meant as a joke.

For anyone who hasn’t seen, Erling Haaland sent a ball over the top of the Tottenham defence to allow Jack Grealish a run at goal.

The referee decided to pull the game back though and didn’t allow the chance to play out, leading to understandable levels of frustration from those inside the Etihad Stadium.

READ MORE: (Video) Alexander-Arnold comments on ‘mental’ Fulham victory; ‘game full of emotion’

Seeing as the former Aston Villa man didn’t score a goal anyway, nor was it abundantly clear he would outpace an on rushing defender, this is nowhere near the incident where Luis Diaz’s goal was incorrectly chalked off.

We scored a goal which would have changed the face of the game, one that we ended up with nine men and a last minute own goal to lose the only match we’ve been defeated in this season.

Although, it appears, these comments are a little tongue-in-cheek, it shows a real lack of understanding from the rest of the teams and supporters.

Had everyone backed our push to create more change within VAR, the PGMOL and refereeing as a whole in this country, we may have seen more changes.

Instead everyone left us to do it alone and are now reaping the rewards of their lack of support.

Speaking on Virgin Media Sport, the Irishman said: “I think a big improvement for them this season has been the return to form of Van Dijk. He’s been excellent.

“I think they have conceded just 11 goals, the second-best defence in the Premier League this season which has helped them.

With less than a month to the start of the January transfer window, the rumour mill is starting to churn out plenty of names and linking them with a move to Liverpool.

According to 90min.com: ‘Though several clubs from across England and Europe – including Aston Villa, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Borussia Dortmund and Juventus – have made enquiries about Phillips’ situation recently, Newcastle are believed to appeal to the 27-year-old.’

It’s certainly not the first time that we’ve been linked with the Leeds-born midfielder and seeing as many think we need a new defensive-minded option in his position – a move would make sense.

READ MORE: Marco Silva’s fear of Anfield clear as ex-Everton boss takes Fulham to Liverpool

It’s easy to understand why the 27-year-old may be frustrated with his game time at Manchester City and so his head would understandably be turned if the right offer comes in.

Having spent so much on a midfield revamp in the summer though, it’s not known whether Jurgen Klopp will have the funds for Kalvin Phillips at this time.

Given the volume of competition for his signature and presence of the deep-pocketed Newcastle, it’s not likely that the England international is going to leave Manchester on a cheap deal.

It’s certainly something that’s worth keeping tabs on and our reported enquiry shows some initial interest but it does seem unlikely that we will pursue this signing much further.

Perhaps the presence of Thiago Alcantara, Stefan Bajcetic and Wataru Endo will be deemed enough cover for the rest of this season, at least.

Liverpool are about to face Fulham in the Premier League and Marco Silva has taken to the media to share his thoughts on the game.

Speaking with the press, the 46-year-old said (via fulhamfc.com): “It’s always really tough to play at Anfield. The quality they have, the manager they have, the crowd is going to push them – they are three really important factors that can make things really difficult for us.

“They have started really well at home. They have been impressive, they have been perfect at home until now.

“In the Premier League – six games, six wins. And 10 out of 10 [all competitions]. They’ve been winning all the games at home so far.

“Tough task for us, really difficult one, but – as always – we go there to play our game, to do our best. We know it’s going to be tough, like it always is in the Premier League, against a top side in a very good moment, who are in very good form.

“But we have to keep improving, to keep in the process that we have to keep improving, trying to do the right things and, of course, do our best to take points.”

It’s clear that the former Everton boss has some fear about returning to Anfield but it’s also in his interest to take the pressure off his own players and put the pressure back on us.

Currently sat in 14th position, the Londoners will be hoping for any kind of result against Jurgen Klopp’s side – even if the odds are stacked against them.

We will be hoping to close the gap on Manchester City and Arsenal and, if results go our way, maybe even end the weekend as table-toppers.

Our home form has always been impressive but, other than a shock loss to Leeds United last season, we’ve been near to impervious on our own turf in recent years.

In Europe and domestically, the Reds have been back to their best in L4 this season and let’s hope this continues in our next match and for the rest of the season.

Let’s hope that the Cottagers’ best is not good enough on Sunday too and that we continue a strong start to the campaign.

It’s always exciting when the club hands out a new contract to a player as it shows they’re clearly playing well and are happy to extend their relationship with Liverpool, even more so when Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of them too.

As reported on liverpoolfc.com‘Conor Bradley has signed a new long-term contract with Liverpool FC.’

The right-back has struggled with injuries so far this season but in a week where he played at Anfield against LASK and now signed a new deal, it’s certainly going to be one to remember.

Last season, the boss said (via liverpoolfc.com): ‘I am not sure if he will become Player of the Season there but for sure he is a contender for that, which is absolutely great’ – the defender went on to claim that exact award for Bolton Wanderers.

It’s clear then that the German is a big fan of the 20-year-old and so we should all be excited to see him sign on the dotted line.

Trent Alexander-Arnold is undoubtedly the right-back for the Reds but having some cover, alongside Joe Gomez, is exactly what we need.

Since Nathaniel Clyne, we haven’t had any proper cover in the position and now it’s over to the Dungannon Swifts youngster to provide the competition we need.

There’s enough opportunities in the Europa League and domestic cup competitions that the full-back can be on the pitch to show us all what he can do.

Let’s hope that this new deal spells the real start of Bradley’s Anfield career and that we see him kick on from here.

Thanks to the club’s YouTube account, we can see the goal from a pitch-side angle and it adds a new dimension to the level of skill needed to finish off a great move.

It has flashes of a Sadio Mane goal, with our Colombian having to slot inside and then expertly finishing off the move.
